Do You Need Game Passes?
Heavyweight Fishing is fully playable without Robux. Unknown Journey sells convenience passes, not pay-to-win rods. The loop is still catch → sell → upgrade. Passes only shorten travel, inventory trips, and skill-slot limits. If you are F2P, redeem August codes and follow the early game walkthrough instead of buying anything on day one.
Prices change. Always check the live Roblox store. This page ranks impact, not a frozen Robux number.
Highest-Impact Passes
Sell Anywhere is the quality-of-life king. You cash out fish without running back to a dock vendor, which is the biggest time sink once you start island hopping. Pair it with the cash farming guide.
Skill Slot 2 / 3 / 4 let you run more skills at once. Extra slots matter more than a cosmetic rod once you own Phoenix Strike Art or One-Strike Heaven Gate. See the skill build page before stacking slots you cannot fill.
x2 Inventory Slots doubles how many fish you carry between sells. It is weaker than Sell Anywhere, but it helps if you refuse that pass and still hate vendor trips.
- Buy first (if you spend at all): Sell Anywhere, then Skill Slot 2
- Buy later: Skill Slot 3–4 once S-tier skills are owned
- Skip early: VIP / Supporter bundles unless you specifically want their extras
VIP, Supporter, and What Not to Buy
VIP and Supporter passes fund the studio and add perk bundles. They are optional. They do not replace Leviathan Rod grind or reel-minigame practice. Never buy a “script” or third-party “free pass” shop — that is account theft bait. Stick to the official Roblox store for this place ID.
If you only have Robux for one pass, take Sell Anywhere. If you have none, the currency guide and codes will still get you to Emerald Rod.
