Banners and Summon Rates

Heavyweight Fishing banner summon rates — Egoless Banner and Celestial Banner pity thresholds, Secret skill acquisition method, and ticket/gem economy explained.

What Banners Are in Heavyweight Fishing

Banners are the summoning system for Skills and cosmetic rod skins in Heavyweight Fishing. You spend Tickets or Crystals on a banner pull and receive a randomized Skill or a rod skin. The game has two banners — Egoless Banner (Tickets) and Celestial Banner (Crystals) — each with its own pool and pity counter. Source: Heavyweight Fishing Wiki (updated 31 August 2026).

Rod skins share the same banner pools as Skills, which means each summon pull is split between combat rewards and cosmetics. Collecting five copies of the same Kraken Rod skin awakens it into the AWK Kraken Rod.

Egoless Banner Rates

The Egoless Banner uses Tickets and contains the standard skill pool plus rod skin cosmetics:

RarityRate
Common60%
Rare35%
Legendary5%
Mythical1%
Secret0.1%

Twin Dragons and Demon Mountainbreaker sit at the 1% Mythical rate. Egoless Technique is the 0.1% Secret skill — the single hardest acquisition in the game.

Celestial Banner Rates

The Celestial Banner uses Crystals and focuses on high-tier Skills:

RarityRate
Legendary (Heaven's Burden)5%
Secret (Celestial Gatebreaker)0.1%

The board does not publish a full rate table for this banner — only the two per-skill rates above are listed. Celestial Gatebreaker is the corresponding Secret-tier skill at 0.1%.

Pity Thresholds

Heavyweight Fishing has a hard pity system that guarantees results after a fixed number of pulls:

SummonsGuaranteed
30 summonsLegendary skill
120 summonsMythical skill
1,000 summonsSecret skill

The 1,000-pull pity is the number that should shape your whole plan. At 0.1% base rate, pity is not a safety net you hope to avoid — for most players it is the actual acquisition method for Egoless Technique and Celestial Gatebreaker. Everything else is about getting to 1,000 pulls cheaply, which means Ticket quests every day.

Where Tickets and Gems Come From

  • Tickets — the daily Easy and Hard Ticket quests from the Quest Giver on Beginning Isle, plus codes. 13KActives alone gives 200 Tickets at Level 200.
  • Gems — daily tasks and beating secret fish. Sanguine Fish pays 20 Gems, the single biggest listed payout in the game.
  • Crystals are a separate currency and do not buy summons — they buy Trait Reroll items from Nanjang at 5 Crystals each. See the traits guide.

Rod Skins and Summon Dilution

Seven rod skins — Kraken Rod, Taiji Twin Scythe, Divine Spear Rod, Wisteria Caster, Demonic Rod, Lifebloom Rod, and Anchorbound Rod — roll from these same two banners. This means summon pulls are diluted between Skills and cosmetics. Collecting five Kraken Rods awakens it into the AWK Kraken Rod.

If you are pulling for Skills, be aware that rod skin drops will reduce your effective pull count. The pity counter itself is not affected, but the RNG distribution is shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pulls for a guaranteed Mythical skill? ▼

120 pulls on the same banner guarantee a Mythical skill.

How many pulls for a Secret skill? ▼

1,000 pulls guarantee a Secret skill. Most players treat this as a multi-month goal.

Do Tickets and Crystals buy from the same banner? ▼

No. Tickets pull from Egoless Banner; Crystals pull from Celestial Banner. They are separate currencies and pools.

What is the best banner for a new player? ▼

Egoless Banner (Tickets) is cheaper and faster to accumulate. Start there and save Crystals for Celestial when you want high-tier Skills.

Do rod skins dilute the skill pool? ▼

Yes. Rod skins share the same banner pools as Skills, so each pull can reward a cosmetic instead of a combat ability.

What does AWK Kraken Rod mean? ▼

Collect five Kraken Rod skins to awaken it into the AWK Kraken Rod. This is a cosmetic upgrade, not a stat change.
