Pity System and Banner Math

How the Heavyweight Fishing summon pity system works — 30-summon Legendary guarantee, 120-summon Mythical, 1,000-summon Secret, and the optimal Taiji vs Egoless banner strategy.

What the Pity System Guarantees

Every summon on the Taiji Banner or Egoless Banner counts toward your pity counter. After hitting the threshold, you receive a guaranteed skill of the named rarity. Source: Roonby All Skills Guide (29 August 2026).

  • 30 summons — Guaranteed Legendary skill.
  • 120 summons — Guaranteed Mythical skill.
  • 1,000 summons — Guaranteed Secret skill.

The pity counter is per-banner and does not share across Taiji and Egoless. Pulling 30 times on Taiji does not progress your Egoless pity. Plan your banner choice before you spend.

Tickets vs Crystals Cost

The Taiji Banner costs Tickets per pull. The Egoless Banner costs Crystals per pull. Tickets come from codes, daily quests, and boss catches. Crystals come from the same sources but with a heavier weight on endgame drops.

Most players start on the Taiji Banner (cheaper Tickets, faster pity climb) and switch to the Egoless Banner once they want Mythical-tier skills from the premium pool.

Optimal Pity Strategy

The optimal strategy depends on your goals:

  • Want a Mythical within a session? — Save 120 Tickets before any pull. Spend them on the Taiji Banner in one batch to guarantee the 120-pity Mythical.
  • Want a Secret long-term? — Save 1,000 Tickets. That is roughly a month of daily quests + every active code if you are F2P. Spend them on the Egoless Banner.
  • Want early damage? — Spend Tickets on Taiji Banner pulls as they come. The 30-pity Legendary ceiling is reachable in a week of casual play.

Random pulls without pity planning waste 30–50% of your summoning budget. Source: Roonby All Skills Guide.

Tickets and Crystals You Need

Heavyweight Fishing does not publish a hard per-pull cost in trackers, but the consensus from community guides (BloxRant, Roonby) is:

  • Taiji Banner — ~5–10 Tickets per pull.
  • Egoless Banner — ~25–50 Crystals per pull.

For 120 summons of Taiji, you need roughly 600–1,200 Tickets. For 1,000 summons of Egoless, you need roughly 25,000–50,000 Crystals. Plan your code redemptions around those numbers — redeem every visit and like pack you qualify for. Use the code level checker.

Why Pity Matters More Than RNG

Without the pity system, summoning is pure RNG. With pity, you can guarantee a Mythical within 120 pulls no matter how unlucky the early pulls are. That converts summoning from a lottery into a planned purchase — and changes the entire strategy from "pull early" to "save until threshold."

Most players who skip pity planning end up with duplicate low-tier skills and no Mythical. The pity system is the single most important feature for long-term progression.
